Our own mini festival!

Seeing as we sneaked off to New York for our wedding we decided to throw a party for friends and family to celebrate our marriage.

Luckily my friend Fay has a house with a couple of large fields attached and offered it as a venue so we decided to have a mini festival party where everyone could camp so it wasn't far to stagger off to bed.

As usual the weather played a big part, as it seems to with everything we do, so once again I was obsessively checking the forecast for days before. Our luck seems to have changed this year and the day was fine and sunny but not too hot, perfect for camping and an outdoor party.

We took over the geese’s field with a hive of activity

Then it all got a bit messy so I’ll just post the pictures...

We had a fantastic day, thank you to all our friends who made it such a lovely occasion, and thanks
to Julie and Neil for their help with the preparation, Justin for doing all the cooking, Sooz and Steve for the entertainment,
Gemma and Scarlett for decorating the place, Jen for the photos and mostly Fay and Ian for providing the venue.

Fay did say we can have a party next year too, so keep hold of those tents!
